New CD, American Grandstand, Vincent/Singletary/Johnson

Post by Tony Prior »

New release this past week, Rhonda Vincent and Daryle Singletary , traditional Country Music duets with Mike Johnson on Steel.

Don't miss this one, really, don't miss it. This is the Country Music CD release that we have all been waiting on for a very long time.

Rhonda, Daryle, MJ, if you are reading, thanks, it's great !

I may be a little partial because I play for Daryle but it's a fantastic album. Daryle and Rhonda sound so good together. And Mike really set the bar on this album. It's some of the best stuff I've heard him play. Mike played on every track except "American Grandstand" and that one was me. It was pretty nerve racking having to go in after hearing the rough mixes on the bus and play on that track. If y'all don't have this album already, get it. I promise y'all won't be disappointed.

If Rhonda Vincent is involved, it must be good. This one will be added to my collection.

Finally got mine yesterday. Really well played, especially by Mike J, and Rhonda's singing is second to none.

The recording/mixing could have been better, though. It's all midrange, no warmth, no "sparkle". But still worth the wait!
