I absolutely hate cancer. So young, too.

Our steel player used to perform "Daddy's Hands" as an instrumental at some of our shows.

What a shame, rest in peace Holly. Mike Sigler toured with her for a number of years and said she was a really nice person.

This is really sad news! Besides Emmylou Harris, Holly Dunn is my favorite country singer since the 80's. I bought her lp's when I was a teenager and just recently bought her cd's and listened to them again on my cell Phone, in the car and on the pc.

I knew she had an art gallery in Santa Fe and hoped she lived a happy life after her singing career.
Her music and voice meant very much to me and I am so happy her music crossed my path in this life.

I'll never forget her!

That's off her Blue Rose of Texas album, Martha, and it looks like Paul Franklin did all of the steel and dobro..

That's a great tune...

Sad news indeed. Condolences to her family and loved ones, and also to Mike Sigler, who toured with Holly a few years back.

I always loved Holly's music and Holly, herself. As a young kid in the 1980s and into my teens, I had a huge crush on her. Like Marty Stuart, she stayed true to real country, IMO.

She did, as a matter of fact, totally walk away from her music career after the hits stopped coming and moved to Santa Fe, NM where she had an art gallery. Her talent of painting was something that I only recently (in the last year or so) learned about. I've also heard good stories about her brother, Chris, who is an accomplished songwriter (or was - he's now in Texas, I believe, doing radio work).

(I know I'm late posting about her passing but - health issues of my own have slowed me down a bit - plus, I think I need a new computer. LOL).
