This past weekend Nathan traveled down here with John Howie Jr. and the whole band to play a benefit show to assist me with some medical issues I've been having.

I'd never met the guy before, nor any of the other guys in the band except John Howie Jr. (John and I & a handful of other players formed the Two Dollar Pistols 20-some odd years ago).

But they packed their full gear and drove 3 hrs. each way to play.

I was blown away by Nathan's Chops and he was making the most of that awesome push pull tone!

I enjoyed seeing him play so much it's inspired me to get back to playing steel.

Well, anyway, I reckon this is just a shout out to a fine picker and fine fellow!

agreed. Nathan is great and John has been one the best things happening in country music for many years now.

I only wish they made it up to Asheville more often!

hmmm, Golub is Croatian last name and in English means "Pigeon" ... Nathan could very well have some Croatian roots

Damir, that side of the family came from Belarus but Croatian could be in there too. I've been told it’s a "common uncommon name."
