Recording software ?

Up until my PC crashed I used Polderbits to record streaming audio Etc. but now I find Polderbits has discontinued their down loads

Any one know of a recorder I can use to do this ?

Audacity is the traditional answer and works very well.

However--it's a full-fledged editor as well as a recorder and may be more complicated than you need if you simply want to record what you hear and nothing more than that (no interest in noise reduction, chopping sound files into smaller pieces, applying equalization, fading, etc).

I use Audacity, but I'd imagine there are plenty of simple recorders out there that are easily configured and learned, without a lot of functionality you may not need.
