Wayne Carson RIP
Songwriter, musician Wayne Carson passed away this morning at 1:30 a.m. I was fortunate enough to get to play a lot of his demos and also worked shows with him on the road. He had over 20 #1 country hits. His biggest was, "You Were Always On My Mind" that Willie recorded. Wayne was the type of songwriter that you could give an off beat subject like "shoe strings" and he would write a hit song about it. May he liven up the Heavenly band. God's speed my friend.
