No, I don't think he did. But I can remember him talking up Stephen Stills' playing on "Someday Soon" by Judy Collins.

He was famous for radio but long before I knew of his radio program I knew of him doing the voice of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. He really was a great radio announcer

he was great as the voice of Robin in the old Superfriends cartoons too. his vocal cords are legendary. now he's announcing the great Top 40 in the sky (as opposed to just the air)

The year of release is not correct, it's 1968. In 1976 the magic had already disappeared.

Joachim, the 1976 date on the discogs listing linked above, appears to be the date of the UK release (Re-release?). However, if you scroll down the 1968 date appears on other versions (US, etc).

And I always thought Stills produced that song. Shows what I know!

I've noticed now, Peter.
Another interesting thing about this great record is, that they took the title song from Fairport Convention and and "First Boy I Loved" from ISB. I think it was Joe Boyd's idea, because of his connections to Elektra records.
