Not sure if anyone here knew Geno. He drowned in Florida this weekend while attempting to help another swimmer in trouble.

Geno was originally from California and was Colin Raye's bandleader for many years. He was a very talented guy. I worked a few gigs with him 4-5 years ago as he had moved to the Atlanta, GA area.

Our sympathy and prayers go out to his family.

I knew Geno, as we called him...... we grew up in Carson City, Nv. He and Van Coffee were very close friends. We all worked together in various bands here in Northern Nv in the 80's. The music world has lost a very wonderful and talented brother

What a shock. Geno was a great player and fun guy to play with. Such sad news. RIP Geno.
