Computer woes................

Post by Ray Montee (RIP) »

I've successfully downloaded my old computers' content onto a 32 Gb Thumb Drive/Flash Drive.

I've plugged the Flash Drive into the USB 2.0 port on the new computer; it IS recognized and the content displayed.

I've highlighted it, opened a NEW folder, and hit PASTE.

HOWEVER, the new folder and its content does NOT make it to my new computers' hard drive in Win-8.

Any suggestions? I can't find a SAVE AS or other seemingly logical path.

I'm sorry if my yelling and screaming has disturbed you and/or your family. For this I apologize.

Ray, you can just drag the files over to the new folder with your mouse.

When you highlight the data to COPY to a new folder on the hard drive, RIGHT click on the highlighted data and then LEFT click "COPY". Then in the new folder, RIGHT click in a blank area in the new Folder then click "Paste".

Give this a try.

Gentlemen........a hearty THANKS to you. You've been kind enough to nurse me thro' and I now have all of my 'stuff' newly installed on my Win-8 System.
Without you, I couldn't have done it.
