Ipad apps?

Post by Delvin Morgan »

Are there any useful apps for steel players, besides garageband? Such as music therory in general or note reading/writing.

Not sure about those, but check out Clear Tune and you never have to tote a tuner with you as long as you have your IPhone.

I like it a LOT.

There are several apps that are music/music theory oriented. Some are free and some cost. Do a scroll through the Music apps.

Metronomes, set-list makers, etc. There are a bunch of ear training apps as well.

One that I see used frequently is iRealB, which is sort of like an interactive Real Book. You can "Create, edit, print, share and collect chord charts or your favorite songs for reference while practicing or performing."

Check out Gig Book (by Deep Dish Design)- gives you the ability to load the IPad with pdf files of your songs and arrange them in a set list if you wish, etc.

It makes no difference to me. I told my wife the iPad was an early Mother's Day gift and she believed me.

Seriously, they are cool little devices for sure!
