Evidently, the late John Coop's email address has been compromised , as I received a phishing link in an email from his account today.

Report this to SpamCop and they will notify his email provider. You can include a note in the report, telling them that he is deceased.

I got an email from my brother a couple weeks ago, and he's been dead for 5 years. I knew what it was, of course, but it was kinda spooky. Maybe I could turn that into a book, if Steven King hasn't already used it.

It's not coming from Coop's PC. These types of things come from an infected PC somewhere that has his e-mail address in their e-mail address book.

I got a few last week from my son and it wasn't from him. Someone had hacked his Blackberry account.
I told him to contact hid IP for help.
