Hello everyone, just a quick note, my Dad, Bill Stroud, passed away this morning @ 8:05 after being airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. At this time, his visitation will be held at Bowlins Funeral Home in Dresden, TN. Visitation will be on Monday evening at 5:00. My Father's funeral will be held on Tuesday at 1:00pm. at his church, The United Penticostal Church in Union City, TN. We hope that anyone who wishes to attend please do so. Know that in honor of my Father, we have choosen to send him home with a celebration of his life. Much love to all of you. Please help me pass this infomation. On behalf of our entire family, Thank You from the bottom of our hearts, for your unwaviering prayers, love and friendship.I do have my fathers phone, and if the friends of my father wishes to speak with me please feel free to call. He cherished each and everyone of you.

The Service and the Visitation will be held at the Church, we are bringing him to his church as we can facilitate the freinds and family with more comfort. The address for GPS is... First Penticostal Church 1105 Edwards St. Union City TN. The visitation time for the family will be annouced this afternoon as well as for the Friends. The time of the Services on Tuesday remains the same !:00 @ the church. We Encourage everyone to come and be a part of Dad's Celebration of Life. Please help me pass the updates for his arrangements by re-posting this update. Thank You all for your prayers

Oh no, I'm so so sorry to hear this news. I never had to pleasure of meeting Bill, but I've had conversations with him on the phone. He was a kind, gentle soul and will be missed. Rest well, Godspeed.

My sincere condolences to the family. Bill was such a gentleman and always willing to help a steeler find the perfect bar, strings, backing tracks, etc.
We are all going to miss him.

Vicki, your father was a good friend and a generous one to me. I will miss him and think of him at every steel show I attend now... as I do for a lot of our steel guitar family.

This is sad. I always enjoyed talking to Bill. Not only do I love his bars, he turned me on to Zookie thumb picks. Gave me a few free ones, actually. Very nice man. He will be missed.
