No Restore Anymore? Please Help!

Post by Chip Fossa »

I had a problem with upgrading VLC Media this afternoon. The upgrade did not go well.

So I looked to RESTORE, and got this image, which is not VERY good.

Please help; don't rush. no big deal, yet.

Thanks all...

That message seems perfectly clear to me. It is telling you that there is no file saved with which you can restore anything! When was the last time you had Windows run a backup on any files, settings, or system state? Have you scheduled any backup jobs? Have you burned any entire computer images?

If you are referring to "System Restore" you are in the wrong place. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

My mistake and apology Wiz.

I guess I was 'lookin' in all the wrong places'...

But I always went to restore [in the past] through Control Panel; at least I think I have. :? :\

Have you been able to roll back using System Restore? If so, is this topic closed?
