Lossless Ripping on a Mac

Post by b0b »

What's the easiest way to rip songs from an audio CD to AIFF or WAV files on a Mac, without using iTunes? (I don't want the songs to go into my iTunes music library.)

Audacity will do it. I think it's free.

1) Insert the CD in your Mac's drive.
2) Open the CD image that appears on your desktop.
3) Drag the files from that CD image to the destination folder in your hard drive.

They come across as .AIFF files automatically.
