Youtube problems

Post by Bill Miller »

Anyone else been having problems with Youtube since Google took it over? I got a notice that I would have to open an account with Google and use a new password to access Youtube. I did that but now when I try use it I get sound but no video. I can get video if I click on the ' Pop Out ' button which opens the video full-screen in a new window. Something is screwed up. Anyone know what the problem could be?

I have been accessing YouTube a lot in the last few days and have noticed no problems. At least, not yet.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Problem solved. If you've already tried the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer with no luck, here's how to get your Youtube working right again: Go into Control Panel and open 'Add or Remove Programs'. There will probably be two or more instances of Flashplayer listed. Remove all of them and reboot your PC. Now log on to Youtube and select a video. You should get a message that you need the current version of Adobe Flashplayer. Click on the icon to download it ( you may have to enable POP-ups ) and install it. That should cure the problem. It did for me.
