How do you disable it in Vista, and will disabling it cause other problems. I don't use this feature, and it uses a lot of resources.

That is the MS Works Calendar.
You should be able to uncheck (remove) it from the startup in the MSCONFIG panel. It was that way in older Operating Systems and probably the same way in Vista.
Click the start button and then enter msconfig and press enter. When they System Config panel comes up, click the Startup Tab. It should be listed as one of the startup programs. Click the box in the entry for that process to uncheck it and then click Apply. You will probably get a box about restarting, and you can restart now or later - your option.
