I'd try dragging the stuff from the floppy disk to the desktop. You might have to reformat the floppy drive.

You might need some Mac software that would open files from a Mavica camera, although I wouldn't think so. Preview or iPhoto oughta open them. It's more likely an issue with the floppy drive. Maybe you could open it on a Windows computer. That fileloc extension looks suspicious. Can you change that? It's just a .jpg, it shouldn't have that appended to the file name. Maybe it's a permissions problem.

If you reformat the drive, OS Extended (Journaled) is usually best. Do it in Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility. You know you'll lose everything on the disk if you reformat it.

My wife had a Mavica camera, which used a floppy disk instead of film or a digital camera card, and she put the disk into a Windows computer, copied the files, and then copied them to a flash drive, which she connected to her Mac and then copied them to the Mac.

If these files are important you can take the disk to Kinko's or OfficeDepot or some such and have them copied to a CD. Otherwise, fuggitaboutit.
