Looks like your domain name registration expired..

Creation date: 11 May 2009 17:54:07
Expiration date: 11 May 2010 17:54:07

You'll need to re-register it. It's not been hijacked...

Just host won't release it unless I pay ..

Unfortunately we only offer hosting and domain packages, and as a result it is not our policy to renew domains on cancelled accounts, however on this occasion, as a good will gesture we can renew your domain for $71.40. We can only take payment for these domain renewals via PayPal.

$71.40's a little pricey, unless it's for several years. You can register steel-guitar-austin.net for $8 or $9 a year at any number of places, like www.namecrave.com

Wait a week or two in case they release the name, then try to buy it afresh from another Registrar. I have done this a few times. I now purchase my domains through Dotster, an ICANN accredited Registrar. This keeps my domains completely separate from my web hosts. That way I can change hosts when I need to, without having hassles over domain names.

When I do change web hosts, I login to my Dotster account and change the Name Servers to point to the new hosting company. 24 hours later most traffic is diverted there. 48 hours later the DNS propagation has completed, world wide. One week after the Name Server change I delete my files from the old host and allow the account to die.

The price they are asking is pure extortion! Don't give them a dime! Register a new name with dashes between two words, for under $16 at Dotster.

Next time you register a domain name make a note of the expiration date.

JustHost looks just bad.
http://www.webhostingreviews.com/just-host-reviews.htm
NameCrave always sends me several emails, starting a month or two out, warning me when any of my domains are about to expire, as would any reputable company. If JustHost is holding yours hostage, that's a real scumbag business practice.

From http://www.web-hosting-top.com/web-host ... om-reviews
Beware if you don't want your site to be hijacked.

Just Host servers are not in the UK. They are in Chicago.

My site was hijacked by a dodgy company based where? You guessed it, in Chicago. What are the chances that my site would suffer domain name abuse by a company apparently only two miles from the servers Just Host uses. Out of the entire world and the entire internet community how can it be that a dodgy company based in the same area that Just Hosts servers are based would attack my site?
