Changing image formats

Post by Barry Blackwood »

Several times I have tried to post an animated gif, only to have it changed to a jpeg image just before I upload it. Any explanation? :?

I haven't looked at what formats the forum will handle but it may not be equipped to handle animated gif's and converts it to a jpg.

Yes, I have seen gifs in avatars, animated gifs in posts, plus, gif is listed as one of the formats that are acceptable when uploading images, so what gives? Wiz?

I don't know why, but the image upload script is changing gifs into jpegs, upon uploading them. This breaks any animations you had. We'll have to wait for b0b to look into this. Also, some of the upload display functions seem to be inoperative.
