YouTube downloads

Post by Doug Jones »

I'm sure this topic has been hashed over so many times there's no room to bury it.

My plight: I have a new laptop (yeah!) and I want to download some YouTubes and also be able to burn them to Video CD or DVD
(I realize YouTube video fidelity sucks).

Question: What is the easiest and least complicated and least expensive software out now to accomplish this?

Can the software link to my onboard burner or will the software somehow include the burning capability?

Please keep in mind I'm OK with computers but not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Thanks in advance for your basic responses,

DJ

Doug, lately I have had good luck with a program from Xilisoft:
http://www.xilisoft.com/download-youtube-video.html
It's got the downloader, converter and player.
