USB question
Is there any way to convert a 1.3 USB to a 2.0 without changing the motherboard? I have a pci card with USB connectors on it and I cannot get a 2.0 driver. I am using winxp pro. I cannot find any info on this. thanks Winston May

A USB 2.0 plug-in card, with at least 4 USB sockets, can be bought for around $20.00 to $25.00. Try your local computer or office supply stores, or Tiger Direct.

The original spec, around 1996, was 1.0, then a little later, circa Win 9x, 1.1, then later, 2.0. If your motherboard only supports USB 1.x, it must be very old and out-dated.winston wrote:thanks for the info. I had been under the impression that all USB pci cards were 2.0. thanks again Winston
