There is a check box option in your "Folder Views" that will cause a windows to re-open at the same size as when it was last closed. Open an explorer window, like My Computer, go to Tools > Folder Options > View. Look under the list of items for "Remember each folder's view settings" and "Restore previous folder windows at logon." Check one or both options, click Apply and OK to close.
You can also edit the shortcut icons on your desktop so that they launch the program at full size: Maximized. Right click on the desired icon, choose Properties, then, under the option field labeled "Run" use the flyout selector button to select Maximized. Click Apply, then OK to save the setting. The next time you launch the program through that icon it will open maximized (full screen).

Hi Wiz, Thanks for taking the time to help with my problem. I am pretty sure I followed your directions but the problem is still there. When I click on a posted link to say, Youtube or a pic that I myself have put up through a web pic host..it opens up in the small version of the page and I hve to click on the full page icon. its just a bit of a nusince. I am using IE 7 if that helps. Thanks.
