cpu display. how to find

Post by Randy Reeves »

quite a while ago I happened to discover the cpu window that displays how much power one is using.I think I understand that correctly. I cannot find it now and have forgotten how I found it in the first place.
to be sure, I am not top notch savy re: computers. I would say that I stumble more than dance with computers. I get by.
anyhow, I bet this is a simple find. I searched All Programs, Control panel etc. I must have clicked on all my icons.
help me. and thanks in advance.

Are you referring to the "Task Manager"? In Windows XP and Vista, you can access that by holding down the Alt and Ctrl keys and then pressing the Delete key.

It doesn't give you "power" but then I don't know what "power" you are referring to.

Windows XP. perhaps I am mis understanding cpu.
instead of 'power' perhaps I mean 'memory available'? or disc space? I remember seeing a graphic chart, small, and I saw a refference to 73% space available.

Randy;
Go to My Computer and open it. Find the icon representing your C drive and right-click on it. From the options menu select Properties. When the Drive C Properties opens it should be at the General Tab, where you will find the pie chart you referred to.

CPU is an abbreviation for Central Processing Unit.
