Winamp - Pretty Good......BUT

Post by Chip Fossa »

I'm using the latest Winamp version as my main audio player, right now. Don't ask me why, please, because I'm in the midst of Vista carthisis, and revulsion.

Winamp plays very well (sorta speak), but I'm having a big problem with the songs, AS LISTED, NOT, repeat, NOT , playing in the order that they are listed in the friggin' playlist!

I went thru all Winamp's menus, lookin' here, lookin' there, clicking this, clicking that, blah blah blah blah.

Hey, fella's - if someone can point out my dumbness here, I would really appreciate it. I'm just trying to avoid going to Winamp Support. As we all love to do, I too am looking for the shortcut.

Thanks all; appreciate it if you can help me out.

Winamp - OK - but this playback jumping around and not even starting on SONG 1 is unacceptable. This BASIC is basic bunk, isn't it?

Regards,

Chipper :\

Chip, I guess it's "you get what you pay for" since it's a freebie media player.

I created a list in mine and it started with #2.

I don't use WinAmp for much, just playing Steel Radio.

I don't have Winamp anymore but here is some interesting info (hopefully it applies to the current version):

This may explain Jacks's list starting at #2

Thanks Jon and Jack.

Those links helped me out. I didn't notice the small "shuffle" button on the interface - that took care of it.

Believe me, Jack, if I could get SB Xfi or Audigy to work with Vista, and with ALL functions operating, I'd have it on. But I'm just not savvy enuff, I guess.

Winamp sounds good enuff right now.

Thanks again - this thread can be locked up.
