Runaway scrolling!

Post by Dale Gray »

At times my pages scroll up and down all on their own. Any clues? Dale

Have you got a scroll wheel that you can press on the mouse, if you press it without knowing the page will follow the up and down movement of the mouse.. maybe

It's a laptop, don't have a mouse with a wheel, just the built in pad. Dale

Possibly the pointing device is configured to scroll when you run your finger along the edge of the touch pad. Look at the icons down near your clock and see if you have something like Synaptics touch pad or something like that. You can right click there and change different properties.

Dale;
Read my blog article about how I fixed my wandering Dell Latitude pointer problem. The solution may apply to your laptop also.
