Uploading audio files to forum question
Wiz, or anybody,
Perhaps this has been asked a billion times but I couldn't find it when I searched the computer section.
My question is how would I go about posting an audio file (saved as windows media player file)here on the forum? Thanks ahead of time.

The SGF does not host audio or video format files, only photos and avatars. If you have a website you should upload the sound bytes to it, then link to them in your post, using a URL linkset. The listener will have to click on the link to play or download the file.

Check with your ISP. Many ISPs give free web space to their customers so they can do just what you are wanting to accomplish. They might have a tutorial demonstrating how to upload files and how to establish links to them.

Thanks again Wiz. I am not really ready to build my own website yet, although one day I may. I know if I joined Myspace I could do it there but I'm not too keen on that idea either. To narrow my question down- How can I upload an audio file without having a website or joining Myspace? I know that the Imagecave hosts image files. Perhaps there is a similar site that does it with audio? Anyone know of such a thing?

Try this one Mike. I use it. It's FREE! The only trouble is...they usually delete your file after one month, so you have to download it again. After your file is downloaded, just copy and paste the url onto your post.
Good luck
