HOW TO MINIMIZE PIXEL SIZE IN PHOTO

Post by steve takacs »

Is there any way to change the pixel size in an existing digital photo? If so, what would be involved? I'm trying to fit a photo under my name in my posts but it is limited to 100 X 100 pixels and 32 kb. The size I have is 10 kb. I have no
idea as to the number of pixels but it won't load so I assume it is larger than 100 x 100. Thanks, steve t

Search your programs to see if you have a photo editor. If so, resize the photo file so that the height is 100 and crop the width to not exceed 100 px. Save the copy under a new file-name.jpg. By reducing the dimensions you also reduce the file size.

Thanks, Wiz. I got a recent Chinese painting called "Red Guard Girl" to load under my name. Could not have done it without your help. Just to make it historically correct, this was not the common uniform of Red Guard women during the Cultural Revolution although perhaps it should have been. steve t
