Is this safe? Is it genuine? I'm also using zone alarm suite.

IMO, it's both, but if it's anything like my "Home" XP, there are settings you can change if you don't want that behavior. I have the options to not do anything automatically, to notify me if updates are available but not download them till I'm ready, or the "full-auto" deal. I choose to be notified, and retain the option to download now or later, depending on what else I'm doing at the time.
