I agree. From your screen shot of the BIOS it is clear that the BIOS itself does not detect these drives anymore. Since you believe that the cable and drives themselves are good, although you haven't mentioned if the jumpers are set as I mentioned, all that is left is that the IDE Controller chipset has failed, or is failing intermittently. Check your motherboard for leaking electrolytic capacitors. These are a frequent cause of weird behavior on some motherboards.David Wright wrote:Wis
I know the cd roms are good, no loose cables, it's got to be something is not recognizing them, one worked this morning, now not.
