Hey Herb, I picked up your Texas Dance Time CD and corresponding tab and I have to personally tell you this is great! It'll probably take me until the convention next year to learn it and maybe by then I'll be ready for your next CD. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for your comments on my stuff. I've done the same thing for the new album Rancho Rhythm Roundup, and had plenty of the tab books/CD tracks there, just no copies of the original album... so that kind of made the course material moot. The original discs are arriving this week, and I'll have all kinds of stuff to say about it on my website. b0b will also have some RRR's for sale on the Forum Catalog.

Well, I was jacking around with the mic stand in the middle of Steel Guitar Jubilee, and the boom arm slipped down and pinched the tip of my left little finger. It didn't hurt, but it wouldn't stop bleeding profusely and ultimately my strings, bar, and fretboard were covered with blood! I finished the song with a towel around my hand, and immediately every woman in the front row came up with tissues, duct tape, band-aids, a styptic pencil, etc. I did running commentary over the microphone, slapped some tape over my finger (see John Arnold's photo elsewhere), did one more song, and got the hell off-stage.

I told Charlie and Scotty it was not a regular part of my act and not to expect it in the show next year. Image

John can tell what he got but I made several attempts to have one of those Koozie thiny's and when I actaully made my way back to the ballroom on Sunday afternoon to get one they MsA stand was deserted and there was nothing left, they had gone home. We don't have those here in this backward country of ours...TRAGIC. Image

Larry, not that I need any more instruments, but were there any interesting steels, (pedal & non pedal) resonators, or things that go slide in the night? " I just gots to know!"

Hey Mike, I posted to you in non peddlers. How did you get those things back to Ca.? You were traveling pretty heavy there. If the plane had to land in the water, you would at least be able to pilot the "SS Blankenship."<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by HowardR on 31 March 2002 at 04:02 PM.]</p></FONT>

I got a 15year old new D10 Zum from the Norris family and Albert Talley. Have restrung it and made some adjustments and to me it sounds like a new one. Called Bruce Zumsteg (on Good Friday) a couple of times and he talked me thru the adjustments. Thanks, Bruce, I really appreciate the help.
