Last year on Sunday it just rained BUCKETS! I mean just a torrential downpour. Didn't stop till everyone had gotten soaked loading up and headed out of town.

It'll be nice (for a few days anyway) to go from -20C to +28C; then again I suppose we'll only be outside when we walk 2o ft. or so from the shuttle bus to the hotel lobby and back - oh and for our "BBQ Run"

Hey Folks!
I've been doing some playing with Ray Montee lately and I'm so glad to hear he's coming to the Dallas show!
I just spoke to Ray and we are hoping to find an opputunity to do some playing while in Dallas.
Ray is bringing one of his prized Rik Bakelites to show us how it's done!
"...Now don’t you get excited
Cause you’re all about to see,
He plays a steel guitar
And his name is "Ray Montee",
Steelin’ is his business
He likes to do his business right".

Well now Pete.......what do I say?
Exceptin' for you, nobody has really ever heard of me and I cannot compare in even a small way with the vast majority of talent that makes up the TSGA Jamboree program. As a result, I felt sorta comfortable in just slipping into Dallas, meeting a couple of old friendds and of course, some swell Forumites, who until now, have been little more than names and posts; seeing you and Tom Baker from Sierra Guitars, enjoying the show and the many artists that will be appearing there, and then just quietly moseying out of town while heading back up north.
Folks, Pete and I have only recently become good friends and he was most generous in his remarks about me......but you cannot believe everything he says in his youthful enthusiasm. Pete will be playing some of his fantabulous steel tunes in the Sierra Guitar Co., Room.......and likely will be appearing on the Thursday night show. Don't fail.....to give him a good listen.
