I'm very attached to this 1952 000-21.

It's a personal thing: perhaps because I play without picks, I have always preferred the 000s ('Grand Auditorium') Martins and this one is very special. Dreadnoughts generally work better played with a pick (or picks). I think the reason is that heavier strings are needed to bring out the D-Series guitars' voice; I briefly had a '67 D-28 (Brazilian) from new but it didn't come alive without a flat-pick.

The guitar pictures (000-21) keeps company with my 1947 000-18, my 1927 0-18 and my Custom Shop 000-28.

That's just me: Damir is delighted with his D-28 and I wish him years of enjoyment with it.

thanks guys , I understand Martin guitars are not everyone’s cup of tea , but they do the trick for me , this D28 is everything I’ll ever need or want , I’m very excited

and here it is, safe and sound in Zagreb, Croatia at my friends house , will be picking her up this summer when I go for a vacation
