Windows XP Question

Post by George Redmon »

On my old WinME, i could open two windows at once. For instance, i could start a post on the forum, put it on the bottom, go and open my mail, or another web page for a photo, or a quote. But with this new one. If i open the forum, put it on the bottom, then try to open my mail, it will "over ride" the forum, and i've lost my post trying to get a picture???? can i start a forum post, then open my mail for my photos at the same time? do i have to set something to do this?

If you are not using Internet Explorer for the second function you are OK. But, if the second function requires the browser then you can't do it.

But, if you download I.E.7, it has tabbed browsing, like Firefox, and you should be able to do it.

If you open Outlook Express for E-Mail it should not affect the browser. Same way, if you open the Windows Explorer to get a file it should not affect Internet Explorer.

George,

There is a reference to your problem (as I understand it).

Post number 7 about half way down the page mentions removing Yahoo Toolbar if you have it on your computer.

Use Ctrl+N to open a new browser window and use that one for your email.
