Thanks Brad. Indeed oddball use of the steel, but they tour with a pedal/lap steel guy, and it's featured in all of there diverse music. I just learned the solo from the record and they were nice enough to let me fill in throughout the song, as the solo was the ONLY steel in the whole song! Great gig, great artist. Sometimes I get lucky....

Oddball use of steel is becoming the norm, thanks to artists being open to it and players like you going for it.
