string 5 returning flat after a lower
Return spring is tight enough, and is pulling the finger solid against the stop. Raising and releasing the string brings it back in tune.
Mullen G2, was working great and this issue started randomly after a flight with it. Have both a full and half step lower, full step lower returns flatter than half step.
Any ideas?

Examine the scissors action for misplacement, bend, binding etc. and oil the scissors lightly and also the roller nut.
Examine the split screw action at the right end. Also, that split screw can be used as a final lower stop.

How flat? it's only 3 or 4 cents, you should ignore it. If it's more than that, make sure the string isn't pulling sideways at the nut, and check the stop-plate where the finger comes to rest. Sometimes, a groove or divot will develop there which will cause an irregular return.

Clean and lube the roller nuts?
