Johnny,
As we used to say in Arkansas…”once you feed a stray, you “cain’t” get rid of it”
. If I ever get a chance to come by, I’d appreciate Miss Sue having a potted meat sandwich ready instead of the Vienna sausage Russ is working on…I’ll pass….

Carl, I agree. I much prefer potted meat over Vienna sausages.
Whatever you do, don't read the list of ingredients...in either one!

Lee,
Your Sardine suggestion reminded me of the late, great Jerry Clower and him telling how Ol Bully was eaten’ a can of Mustard Sardines on a hot August day in Mitch’s area of South Mississippi…Route 4, Liberty, Ms…Jerry said he went into the store and said he wanted a can of mustard sardines cause, “bully had done flung a cravin on me”
. Shoot that thang!

Back in my deer-hunting days (1960s & 1970s) in the Texas Hill Country, our camp cook was good at fixing us squirrel. Fried squirrel and sometimes squirrel and dumplings.
He was from East Texas. They'll cook anything out there!

I used to do to lunch with a guy from India, he always wanted to go to the dive Mexican restaurants because they had tripe and other organ meat dishes. He said in India you could only find that at the finest restaurants.
