I usually play in a 3 piece band. Drums, bass and I pull double duty on guitar and steel. We all sing,

Perhaps out of practicality, I do quite a few duo/trio/quartet sans drums. I tell you one thing I like about is you have a bigger role. The steel can fill more space without being overbearing.
