Hook! What a great cat-I never met him face to face,
but he had me build his elderly uncle a Brand X case
for his LDG...

We used to joke about our"money pits"(C3 Corvettes)...

Sure hate we ain't ever gonna get to hang...

Rest easy,my friend...

I'm Hook's older kid and I want to thank you all for your condolences and the years of friendship he found here. Dad talked about the forum often and really enjoyed being a part of it.

I have a few items I can post for sale if there is any interest - pedals and such.

Denise, I don't know if Hook and I ever met face to face. We met on line through his uncle, Will Rogers. I'm very sorry that he was taken from you so young and we weren't able to get together. We corresponded often on the SGF or facebook and I enjoyed his friendship. If you have items for sale you can list them on the Forum for sale section. I'm sure the SGF members will help you. R.I.P. Hook!

Hi Denise -

Like many here, I never met your dad in person but felt I knew him through his posts: a great guy, someone you'd want to be around.

His given name was Blaine, wasn't it? How did he come by "Hook?"

Peace to you and the family.

Dad drove trucks for many years, and "Captain Hook" was his CB handle. I'm not sure why, though! Some inside joke or other, I'm sure.

For many years before that, he was "Opie." We'd be out somewhere and run into someone and I could always tell how long they'd known him by whether they yelled "Hey Opie!" or "Hey Hook!"

I sent Hook a few messages concerning the Big E steel he had and its set up. Wanted to stop and see him when I was down in the Kanawha Valley but never got too.
RIP Hook.
