A "Snow White" turn for the worst
Many of you may not know of a fateful day, Sept. 11, 1984. A car crossed 2 lanes of highway traffic, crashed head on into Barbara, with 2 of her children inside her car, killing that errant driver, causing life-altering injuries to put it mildly. Details of her entire life, along with choice photos are in her Auto-bio book: Get to the Heart, my story. Assisted by the author George Vecsey, who also worked with Loretta Lynn, Martina Navratilova, and Bob Welch (baseball pitcher). Tragic, painful journey that nearly robbed her of her life, it also is the story of her Parents and the lessons taught to Barbara from an early age that she could do anything she wanted to do.
