Wow,BIG JIM DeNoone, THERE'S A NAME HAVEN'T HEARD IN A WHILE! USED TO HANG OUT WITH WYNN AND GUYS WHILE PLAYING AT PANTHER HALL IN FT.WORTH WITH WAYNE KEMP,WE HAD JUST FININSHED WAYNE'S NEW ALBUM-HE AND WYNN WERE BIG BUDDIES. MooNE WAS SOME CHARACTER. Really miss that bunch.

[I left Vegas in the spring of '64 and went to "unknown places in the far east.based in Okinawa..The talk there (ALL OVER THE ISLAND)was the country band that had played all of the clubs..with lead singer Harold Jenkins....]

Bob....they didn't happen to mention who the steel player was did they? Image

I was lucky to get the great out of print California Country Stewart CD mentioned in a previous post from the good folks at Norton Records in NYC for $15

I did two different shows with Winn toward the last of his outings, here in North Carolina...Fiddlers Cove.. with a guy on the fiddle by the name of Bobby Hicks...also this guy that was traveling with him sang a few...he went by the name of "Dean Dillon"...and we were opening a "Possum Holler" for no-show and Winn came in to take his place...I will never forget his sense of humor..he did a live radio spot from his bus and did the whole thing as "Gabby Hayes"..what a guy...tom
