Had a lesson with Mike Bagwell, and he played barefoot. And y'all know how he plays! Gotta do something about that fungus, though, Mike.....Wait--you could host a toe jam!

I prefer western riding boots, pointed toe and high heal but can play in anything but a soft sole slipper or bare foot.

I like my tenny shoes for session work or practicing but, for playing live i like to wear my boots.

I wear Florsheim loafers with a thin sole. They aren't much good for walking, but they look sharp and I can feel the pedals.

Saw Bobbe Seymour several years ago and he was wearing a beautiful dress blazer and red
tennis shoes. Played geart though. TJH

I've been thinking of using bowling shoes.
I goet the idea from the drummer
in a band called Dixianna.
They're soft with a good sole and
don't stick out on the sides like
so many modern styled shoes.
Has anyone tried these?

I'm going to do some researching into shoes, probably orthopedic ones. Since last Friday my flat feet have delivered to me a horrible case of tendonitis in my right foot culminating in an excruciating episode Saturday nite after a double day of 4 hr. jam then 4 hr. gig complete with lifting gear. Foot swoll up like a football and I'm still limping around on Tues. This is not new and I've ignored it before, so it's time to take action, albeit expensive action.
