Kudos to b0b! The important thing the Forum has done FOR b0b is to turn him into a capitalist! In the early days, he would not accept money donations to pay for this service he provides. Now, he is like some of those TV Preachers always begging for money! (Not really!)
Actually, I'd still pay for it myself if I could. Yesterday I got an Internet bill for $1286 - well beyond the "hobby" expense of $19.95/month that we started out with. My employer is footing the bill for half of it, since I telecommute from the same office that houses the Forum, but even at that I feel "out on a limb" most of the time.

I thank you all for your support. Every bit helps, even string purchases. Luckily, about 1/3 of our gross income is donations, which are nearly 100% profit. We are almost in the black for this quarter, which is a first! Last year the Forum cost me more than a new steel guitar (but I didn't need a new steel guitar, anyway). I think that this might be the first year that it pays for itself.

I tend to think of the HOF as a "lifetime achievement" award. The Forum has only been around for 5 years. The Internet itself might turn out to be a fad. I think this is way premature. Thanks for the sentiment, though.
quote:
1. Name and list the notable artists and bands with whom the nominee has performed and recorded, as well as the duration.

As far as I know, Bobby pretty much plays with himself.

Image Caught in the act! Seriously, though, here are some links:

The Country All Stars
Pam Nadali
John Reese and Open Hearts

Plus, there's a new CD by Seth Truscott that I haven't put in the Forum catalog yet. It's $15 if you want to order it now: #CD-ST01W. The style is original "new country".

Thanks, everyone, for the tremendous vote of confidence. It means a lot to me. See you in Texas next week!

Thanks b0b, for all the effort you have put into the forum. I read it every day I'm at the computer.

You have done a great job with this endeavor; now if we can just get your politics in order. Image

Next time we get to Northern California to visit kinfolk, it's a must to stay the weekend to go hear b0b. They live very close to his stomping grounds and I've bookmarked his schedule site.

I'll just come in with my steel guitar forum cap on to say hello. It will be a great pleasure to shake the hand of the man that made this forum. Maybe some of his magic picking will rub off and I can take it back home to my MSA.

Gotta go along with the rest of ya'll.

Yes Bob,we salute you! You've created something we all really dig. I'm thankful to have the opportunity to read, and to post and pray for others.

I have learned a lot and been able to re-establish contact with many old amigos.

Bob needs to be inducted into the SGHOF for his efforts.

THANKS BOB! May GOD bless all of you!
