I think this is relative to the thread. In 1976 while I was playing the road with Grammy award winning Donna Fargo(Funny Face, Happiest Girl in the whole USA) , After a gig I went to the night spot Mr. Lucky’s in Arizona . I met the incredible steel player in the house band. Native American, Ivan Greathouse! Ivan was playing a ZB thru a tall amp with 6 -10” speakers. I’d never heard anything like it! He sounded a lot like Curly Chalker on stearoids. Huge sound and great C6th playing. His C6h was on the top neck like Curly. There were no strings on the bottom neck.
Would love to reconnect with Ivan. He was very humble and kind.

Tommy;

Here is Ivan at Mister Lucky's in 1989 on the vocal and steel.

And a 7 minute interview from 2019; I guess he is still in Phoenix.

He says he was a staff player on the Louisiana Hayride for 3 years.

Ivan says he had a 9 piece house band in Denver in the 1960s. Somebody around here must have seen that?

Great song, vocals, and steel, from the comments sounds like he has passed.

I am Mohawk from Kahnawake, Quebec, and play lap steel, dobro, and a ukeaborn. No pedals as of yet.
