Pensions were meant to go belly up.

When #42 was in charge, his new found "surplus" was the boomer's pensions.

Pensions aren’t the same as Social Security. #42 took out IOU’s against Social Security, which comes out of payroll taxes—your payroll taxes.

Pensions are contractual with employers where they make contributions to your retirement. It’s part of your pay, part of your contractual agreement to work for them.
