Fred,
There was a family out camping.
Two mosquitoes were hovering overhead.
One mosquito said to the other mosquito:
"Should we eat them here or take them down to the lake?"
The other mosquito said:
"We'd better eat them here, if we take them down to the lake the big ones will take them away from us!"

I've played in Antarctica. Was fun. Can't imagine trying to do 100 degree heat in Texas! http://adam.antarcticanz.govt.nz/nodes/view/27531
I have done some whack gigs, but an outdoor festival in Antarctica? Now, before you say “It wasn’t bad, it was 27 degrees ABOVE zero during the day...â€, can I just say somebody out there really hates musicians? Either that, or the drummer booked the gig. I would love to see the place though.

It was a dry cold
A banjo, like a pet monkey, seems like a good idea at first.

One of the reasons I fled the Gopher State a few years ago, after spending most of my life there, was the extreme cold. Imagine my surprise when, one morning between Christmas and New Year's in 2016, the nearest National Weather Service reporting station here in the big Valley recorded minus 38!
