Ralph Mooney sprayed hair spray on his fingers and then put his picks on.

A machinist friend gave me liquid rossin to try,it's great.Brush it on the inside of your picks and let it dry.The picks slide on easy but then your body heat softens the rossin and they are on.I also tried putting the rossin on my fingers and picks and I had to pry my picks off

I was putting my fingers in my mouth to get the picks to stay on also...but in flu season I figured its not a good idea. Now I wet my fingers under a faucet and push the picks on. Seems to work just as well for me.

The heat shrink tubing trick works great for me: viewtopic.php?t=149375&highlight=make+f ... omfortable

I use a heat gun now, not a flame, but I like the hot water idea too.

I like these because they grip around the first knuckle, and not the fingertip.

Just go down to the local sporting goods store and ask for the rosin they use for compound bows and dip your fingers in that

I have a very slight difference between the shapes of my index and middle picks. I mark them like this, and it helps hold them on too!

If you use picks with BIG-@ss'd clamps, like ACRI's:
https://www.elderly.com//media/catalog/ ... rass-m.jpg
AND reshape them patiently with TWO sets of pliers & files & whatever else turns you, AND use either saliva or spit (depending on which side of the Missississippi you're on*), you'll never have to read these repetitive posts again! :D

But you will....

*(In Australia it's recommended that you lick a cane toad.)
