Some of my friends corrected me. Wynn Stewart was from Morrisville, and is buried near that town in Missouri. Actually my initial post was very close to being correct as Pleasant Hope is about 10 miles from Morrisville. I saw a old re-run of the Ozark Jubilee that Wynn Stewart was on. The M.C. on the show ask Wynn where he was from and he said Marshfield, Missouri. About 30 miles from Morrisville, and 20 miles from Pleasant Hope. Before Wynn left for California he had a band around Springfield, Missouri. I played around 10 years with Wynn's Springfield guitar player, Jerry Menoun.

Wynn was from Morrisville, MO. He is buried Rose Hill church cemetery north of Willard, Mo on Z hwy.

Do search for Wayne Glenn the old record collector. Send him an email and there is a good chance he can tell you a lot about him.
