John was a unique American artist, one of a kind. I remember being at a fiddlers contest in West Virginia a few years before he passed. John just showed up in his bus and entered the contest, not to win but just be with the people. He did all kind of crazy stuff so he wouldn't win then hung out all night and picked with us. One of the coolest and talented and funniest guys I ever met!Thanks for bringing his memory back up!
