Wow! My Belkin router does allow static addresses to be assigned even with DHCP turned on! I learn something new every few weeks and this is pretty cool........ Thanks John!

No problem, glad to be of some help.

When setting up a LAN, it happens that you are sometimes forced to put certain things (print servers are a good example) on manual addresses.

There are two ways: you can set the addresses manually on each device (which prevents it from checking with the DHCP server). Or you can leave DHCP on and tell the DHCP server that you want certain devices to always have the same certain IP address.

It ends up being much easier that way, because it eliminates potential conflicts, and because if you have to renumber you can do it all in one place.

Hi Bent

I agree with Greg Epson is the way to go. For several years I have been using the Epson R200 and I love it. If you use it alot I have seen units for bulk ink sold on ebay for this particular printer.

My band usually gives away a couple cd's a night. We play an old classic country song and give a Cd of our original material to whomever can tell us the original artist. The Epson has been great so far!

Thanks Shane. Yes looks like Epson is the thing. I would rig it up side by side with my kodak photo printer which prints great photos, plus the ink is reasonable. The Epson wold be used for CD printing mostly
