Mullen G2 vert knee adjustment

Post by Dick Wood »

Earlier this year I purchased a used SD10 G2. I never really paid much attention to the vertical knee lever until just recently. The adjustment or lack thereof appears to be from a bad design of where the Allen head setscrew makes contact with the surface it needs to contact. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust it far enough downward as the setscrew doesn't push against anything if you back it out in an attempt to bring the vertical lever down closer to your knee.

Anybody else run into this issue? Ideas? Fixes?

Thanks

Mullen sells a vertical knee extender. I have one my G2 and it works fine. https://mullenguitars.com/product/verti ... -extender/

Thanks Bill for that bit of info.

Can it be further adjusted or does it just drop it an inch as their website says?

From 1 over the hill lawman to another, Welcome back.

Here is another cure for a high vertical knee lever.
I made this knee lever and extension for buyer of a MSA S10 I sold.
I made it over size so he could custom cut and trim the wood extension.
The odd washer on the end is the lock, Wood comes off to case guitar.

Thanks my friend but 33 years was enough for me.

I ordered the extension Bill mentioned and I hope that does the trick as I have to lift my leg too high to activate it.
